Design Consultation

Find a time to meet and discuss product and customization options. Chose from a set of pre-selected designs, or work with us to create a compatible design using your own artwork. For each new item there is a one-time design and set-up fee of $15. This will not apply to subsequent orders of the same item.

Common requests include:

• Welcome, Name, or Address stones - Welcome guests at your home, campsite, or business.

• Decorative stones - Spruce up your space with timeless decorations.

• Garden stones - Stepping stones, plant identifiers.

• Memorial stones - Create a memorial marker for a special planting or a beloved pet.

General material specific guidelines for reference only:

• Jewelry: Size, material and colors may be limited. Ask about availability in the quantity you desire.

• Wood: Cutting and engraving options available on multiple wood types including basswood, maple, oak and ash. Size typically limited to 10"-15," but can be adjusted slightly in some cases.

• Stones:  All stones are 100% natural and locally sourced, and therefore each stone is unique in shape and size. Similar designs can be applied to multiple stones, but results may very slightly.  The majority of stones we use are blue shale a.k.a Utica Shale.

  • All stone engravings are long-lasting and suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

  • Standard stone sizes are 1"~12" in diameter with images up to ~8"x8".

  • Color finish and engraving style options available, including weatherproof paint, deep engraving, etching, and raised obsidian glass. Ask about what options are most appropriate for your desired effect.
